Just finished watching the PRJ finale for the second time. Congrats to all of the finalists and especially to Maya- my fav from the beginning.

As a fan of the franchise, I was especially enamored with the designers in this group. Not because of their talent, color choices, or ability to make a garment pop on the run way but because of their incredible kindness toward one another.

They were truly good sportsman through to the end; never back stabbing, whining, throwing under the bus, sicky sweet “children” like you’ll find in the programs featuring adults.

We can already see that the designers in the upcoming Project Runway All Stars will feature drama, hateful comments and talking behind each other’s back.

All of that true childish behavior was noticeably missing from the entire season that actually featured children.

They were kind, supportive, encouraging, helpful and just genuinely nice to each other. Even in the private interviews, they said nice things never once besmirching the character or talent of one of their competitors.

The most loving act was at the end of the workroom frenzy, the four finalist gathered together for a selfie – It was important to capture the moment.

I’m a huge fan of Ellen DeGeneres and I would imagine she would also applaud the kindness displayed by these young teens.

I wish the adults in the other Project Runway shows would learn a lesson from the example set by these incredible teens.
